A few years ago, while working on our first AR-specific 3D models, we realized that a well-crafted model alone wasn’t enough to convey the product’s essence to users. What was needed went beyond models and textures—it required creating an emotional connection with the audience.

In our animation projects, we always generate detailed textures and apply thoughtful lighting to evoke the right feelings. However, AR platforms often struggle with lighting due to the limitations of mobile processors in rendering realistic light. To address this, we initially used photogrammetry techniques to capture high detail and provide an immersive experience.

As we noticed clients moving away due to complexity, we updated our approach. Now, with just a few reference photos, we can deliver optimized, lightweight, and photorealistic 3D models with baked lighting and textures. This ensures models are both efficient and visually stunning for AR platforms.
